The Male Copper Plakat Betta is a breathtaking variation of Betta splendens, known for its shimmering metallic copper coloration that can reflect gold, bronze, and silver hues under proper lighting. The plakat (short-finned) variety gives this betta a sleek, powerful body and enhanced swimming ability, making it more active than its long-finned counterparts. With its bold iridescent shine and aggressive yet elegant demeanor, this Betta is a stunning addition to any aquarium. A varied diet of high-quality Betta pellets, frozen or live foods such as Bloodworms, Brine shrimp, and Daphnia is ideal for their continued health. A gentle filter is recommended and be sure to prevent strong currents for this Betta. With proper care, the Male Copper Plakat Betta can live 2-4 years, offering a mesmerizing display of metallic brilliance, energy, and personality in any aquarium setup.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

what kind of fish are these? and would they be good with a male betta
My male Betta fish isn’t moving
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
My new betta is coming up with silvery spots behind gill slits and underneath mouth. His water also seems to get clear algae growth rather quickly (3days) on the surface. I would love to be able to send pictures. My first betta
My male Crowntail Betta fish is acting very lethargic, he stays at the bottom of the tank and only coming up for air, barely eats, his stomach looks hollow, and the scales along his back are raised. He has been this way for a few weeks but isn't getting better. I change his water weekly, and he lives in an environment where his is not caused stress.
Can I put another type of fish with my male betta?
What type of fish can I keep with my adult male betta fish, he is in a 3 gallon tank.
why is my betta losing his color? This just resently started. His appetite has not changed. He seems to be normal other then the color change. He is a male vail tail only two years old. I bought him at Petco and he has never been sick or lose of color. I am scared that he might be sick. Thank you
So I have an established and cycled 10 gallon tank with 1 white male platy and 1 albino Cory catfish, the filter creates a bit of a current and then I have a bubbler to add more of a current, I also have a older maybe 2-3 year old betta who is very chill and I wanted to know I could put him in this tank happily and without fault?
What is wrong with my Bettas end fins?
Hi, my name is Emma and I have a male half moon betta fish named pucker. I’ve had him for about three weeks now and just bought him a tank about a week ago. When I bought him from petsmart they ran out of betta food so they gave me this bug bites tropical fish and he ate it but didn’t like it. But I went back and bought him his food, which colour enhances. Today I went to go feed him and noticed his colour has changed, did it change in a good way? Also does he look healthy to you?
Hi, i have recently (as in today) got a betta fish and was hoping to get another betta, i only have a simple half gallon bowl for the fish and was wondering if there was a way to easily find a surefire friend for him without them fighting or being aggressive to each other
