Did sssssssomebody say ssssssnake?! Yesssss! This snake toy contains organic catnip to help attract your cat. At approximately 6 inches long, I feel it's too big for a young kitten, but an older kitten or adult cat might play with it. Our cat Ginger showed some interest, but within the first few seconds of her checking it out, one of her dew claws easily snagged it. Please observe the warning on the label: “Caution: For pet use only. Not a child’s toy. Small parts, small balls, and strings can present a choking hazard, gastrointestinal blockage, or strangulation risk. Always supervise pet during play to prevent accidental swallowing of small balls or strings. Contains catnip. Not intended for consumption. Inspect regularly and replace if any part becomes damaged. Some color transfer may occur if wet.” The eyes are glued on, which concerns me. They seem to be glued on well on mine, but wouldn’t be a match for a cat’s teeth or claws pulling on them. If separated from the toy, they then become a choking or gastrointestinal hazard for the cat. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this toy.

I received this product for free for my honest review through the Spotted by Petco program. I chose this crochet snake cat toy because it looked soft, durable and fun to play with. I now have five kitties in total so plenty of toy testers here. I have one kitty that's 2 years 7 months old, two kitties that are two years and 10 months old, one kitty that's one year 6 months old and one kitty that's 11 years 10 months old. The senior kitty doesn't play with toys as much as he used to. The other young kitties do chase him around the house so he does get plenty of exercise. I opened the box I received from Petco with the crochet cat snake that was well packaged in my office to see to see how my four younger kitties would react to it. They were intrigued by the new toy. They each sniffed it and started to play with it. The only thing that would make this toy a bigger hit would be to add catnip to it. Catnip always drives them crazy.

My cat is one of those cats that would rather play in a box or with trash than with cat toys. When I received this toy I expected for him to ignore it, but I was surprised that he really likes it! He really enjoys attempting to catch the toy and attacking it.

My chiweeni dog loves this toy. She carries it around and shakes it and throws it. This toy has held up very well and washes well too. Washer then dryer and no problems with it. Even my bigger dogs play with it

Never got it my order and on top of that I couldn’t cancel my order at all

This toy is so cute! It looks like a crocheted snake and seems to be pretty well constructed. No rips or tears so far. I didnt have high hopes for it because i didn't realize it had cat nip in it, but boy was i wrong! I threw it in the middle of the living room and my cats sort of walked around it then went on attack mode!! It was so funny to see them play so vigorously with it since they don't do that with many toys. The video speaks for itself! The only downside is that catnip scent usually fades and there isn't a way to replace it. I usually just put those kind of toys in a bag of catnip for a few days to refresh and good as new! Try it!
