I bought this almost a year ago when my two kittens were driving me nuts with several hours of play a day in their new furever home. I did not expect them to go even more cuckoo possessively carrying around these toys and fighting each other for the privilege (dw it gets better). I limited their playtime with these at first, only bringing them out to distract the alpha from wrestling her tiny twin too roughly. I’d scoop her up, hold the fox she seemed attached to above her head, and let her bat away at it as I hummed and showed her cool new stuff around the house (she and I gradually learned how to prevent bites and scratches). At some point Foxy ended up lost under the dresser, and when I found it out she was so thrilled. She loves batting it under things and waiting for me to get it for her, and if she was stressed out (especially separation anxiety after her long naps to find everyone had left the room) she’d come running and squealing with Foxy in her teeth. She loves it more than Mom, sister, even treats lol, and she won’t let me sleep until Foxy’s in the bedroom (even if under the dresser). She tends to be a wallflower in play and a bit chubby for many treats, so it’s adorable to see her with a jackpot toy she loves. She gives it headrubs, self-play or interactive with me, might growl protectively over it but has gifted it to her bonded sis once or twice. Over time Foxy became very worn and I worried about the batting getting stuck in their intestines. So we got Foxy 2.0. Then 3.0. Maybe 4.0? I’ve lost count and now it’s OOS everywhere and they’re all torn to bits. I’m not sure if it’s the calming herbs (which are OOS too dangit I was gonna stuff a toughie with it), the plush size, or the color (she does seem to prefer orange toys…) but I need to get an alternative stat! The balls are great, just markedly less enthusiasm. They’re her sister’s, who loves all toys but the novelty of these wore off rather quickly for some reason. Tl;dr this fox is the best thing I’ve ever bought here, even if they’re not durable, and I need 10 more ASAP pls I’m begging you
