This thing is "just the ticket" for my Izzy! Izzy is my almost 10 year old Boston terrier.I cannot count the number of these that I have purchased. When one finally falls apart, I pitch it and order a new one. I would prefer a medium size for her but I've only ever gotten that size once; have never seen it again. This thing is KONG so you know it's durable! It squeaks, for the dogs that like audio feedback, the long "tails" make it perfect if you have one who loves to tug. Give her 3-4 weeks and she will have shredded the tails, and removed the squeaker, which is big enough it can be used as a ball-and they won't choke on it. The tails make it great for throwing if your pup can't get enough of fetch! When she decides to shake it to death, it's small enough that she can't clock herself with it like the large one she inherited from the beast before her! The best part about these, they're inexpensive thus, replacing them won't break the bank. YES, YES, YES, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these if your pup loves to play but also loves to chew. These things give me hours of much needed peace and calm, from puppy to senior dogs you must have these, maybe even 2 or 3. Seems like I often find these bogo. BONUS! Sloppy kisses and love to you and your beast!

It took my golden retriever about 15 minutes to tear this toy up. The sales clerk recommended it and said it was made for destructive chewers and the toy would last longer than the the others.

The large size Kong Wubba lasted less than 20 minutes before my 40 lb boxer mix had chewed a quarter-size hole in it. Very disappointed in the KONG brand, which I thought would be more durable.

    Thank you for your question. It states in the overview that this carrier will work for cats and dogs up to 10 lbs so it should work fine for a 5 lb dog.

    Have you tried the Air Kong Squeaker Stick? That squeaks and it is sturdy enough for it to last my Pit Bull for a long time and he is a chewer.
