A life saver

As my 14-1/2 year old Chiweenie gets older she has begun to be more and more picky. Adding to all the fun of an aging little dog, she only has 10 teeth. This is her favorite meal to eat. She will bark at me when she want's more which to me is a welcoming sound!

My dogs love this food but it’s not user friendly to manage with multiple dogs

Taylor W.

I really like this brand but I have 4 dogs and they only offer 1 size of container so I go through multiple containers a day. The opening is also small so I inevitably get dog food on my hands while I’m scooping out food to measure. I wish they had a larger size with a wider opening so I can easily scoop to measure out portions for each dog. I also would love more food options that don’t have legumes in them. I know they say it’s fine “in moderation” but how is eating this food twice a day “in moderation”? It makes me uncomfortable ordering anything potentially dangerous so I only order the food that has no legumes in it. I’d gladly order other options if they changed the recipes. Also the macaroni all goes to the bottom and the sauce all sits on the top so it makes it hard to scoop out when you have to scrap the bottom to get the noodles mixed in with the sauce.

Hello, Taylor! We appreciate your feedback about the consistency. The appearance of more macaroni at the bottom is a normal aspect of this formula, designed to help preserve the ingredients for long-term shelf stability. For best results, we recommend thoroughly mixing the food before serving to ensure even distribution of all components. If you suspect there might be an issue with the batch, please feel free to contact us at (866) 726-9509 or via email so we can investigate further. Best regards, Daniella

Frustrating to serve with poor packaging, but high marks on flavor

Frances C.

I really wanted to like this product. On paper, it seems like a better deal than the frozen meals and more convenient since it doesn’t take up freezer space. But the reality was a letdown. The caloric density is lower than the frozen meals, so while it appears cheaper, you end up feeding your dog more. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit extra for a shelf-stable option, but the packaging and product design need work. The large macaroni clumps at the bottom, while the watery ingredients sit on top. It’s impossible to mix properly in the container. I had to dump it into a big bowl, chop up the macaroni, mix it all, then portion it. This was way more effort, and messier, than the frozen meals. That said, my dog does love this recipe (even my picky cat snuck a few bites, which never happens with the frozen version), so it scores high on taste. I’d consider it again if they fix the packaging and clumping, but for now, it’s a miss for me.

Hello, Frances, We appreciate that you left a review regarding your experience with our products. Rest assured, we will share your concerns with the appropriate team. Your feedback will help us to continue improving and providing our pet parents and their beloved furry friends with the best service. We are constantly working to ensure we deliver the best nutrition and service to you and your furry families! We want you to know that the cooking process for this recipe has been updated. We have worked with our manufacturing partner to address the volume of comments about a “mushy” appearance. The new appearance is that the macaroni is dispensed on the bottom and appears separated. This is normal for maintaining the integrity of the macaroni for long-term storage. The food needs to be thoroughly mixed before serving, and this separation is intentional to preserve the structure of the ingredients long-term (since these are designed to last 2 years on the shelf). If you think something is wrong with the batch, please email or call us at (866) 726-9509 so we can open a quality case to investigate the batch. We value your advocation to provide the best nutrition to your pup. All the best, Daniella

Pantry Fresh Turkey & Whole Wheat Macaroni

My healthy dogs love it. The major problem I have is that all the macaroni is on the bottom and I have to take all of the food out of the carton, break up the macaroni, mix and then serve.

My dogs loved this recipe!

The shelf stable recipe turkey and noodle is the recipe we tried and my dogs love it. The noodles do often settle to the bottom, but that works fine for us because I use the portion that has less noodles like wet food during dinner time or on lick mats, and the part that has more noodles goes well in an enrichment toy for them.

She likes it!

My 16 yo shepherd mix rescue dog has had so many health problems, mainly with food sensitivities, gastritis and diarrhea. She’s a very picky eater. So to find something that’s human grade, free of any of her known food triggers, convenient to use, and that she will eat is such a relief. I’m going to try out some other recipes! Thank you.

My dog Ruki loves JFFFD turkey and whole wheat. While we usually buy the frozen, the pantry fresh boxes make it really easy for traveling, and meals away from home.

How long is the shelf life if the package is unopened?

  1. If unopened, and away from extreme temperatures, it is my 3 year experience that the Tetra pacs will be fine for 6/7 months. But please read the expiration dates on package. If package expands from the heat of commercial delivery, I have been known to return a few boxes to store as a precaution but over-all I have had good a positive experience.

Are the packets frozen in the 12.5 # box ?

  1. No, the food is fresh in the box. You cut it open and scoop it out. You can refrigerate anything left in the box for up to a few days.

Are you still producing lamb and rice?

  1. Yes they are

What is in this the box shows food and the canister shows white powder and where are the directions on how much to feed
