My daughter has a turtle from school for the week. The teacher only provides food. How do we care for it?
I have a red eared slider who is 1 and a half year old. The commercial pellet box suggests that I feed my turtle twice as much as she can eat. Should I follow this, however even if I give 20 pellets at a time, my turtle eats it.
My red eared slider turtle is hiding constantly staying under the rock and filter and he’s not sunbathing I’ve had him for 2&1/2 years and he hasn’t grown a whole lot, I’ve only been feeding him 3-4 “floating reptile sticks” every day since then. I’m worried about the little guy should I be feeding him more or something else also I don’t know if his tank is ideal for his species I’ve never met anyone else with a turtle and I haven’t had anyone to get advice from. I found a baby turtle upside-down in a puddle about the size of a plate. He was barely moving, and there was no creek within a few miles. I took him in and got a 10 gallon tank. I went to a creek and got some water from that, and some little rocks and made a habitat. I got a best lamp as well. What should I do? Should I keep him and care for him? Also, what should I feed him? I sent some pics to tell size and type.
