Description

Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water.

  • - Natural sea water that's already filtered, sanitized, and pH balanced
  • - No mixing, measuring or adjusting
  • - Create a truly realistic habitat for your saltwater-loving residents with the addition of Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water. Filtered, sanitized and pH balanced, it requires zero mixing, measuring or chemical adjusting. Just pour directly into your aquarium and watch as it helps you maintain an ideal marine environment. Low phosphate and low nitrate
  • - Instructions for Use: Monthly Maintenance and Water Changes: Remove 25 percent of the water from your aquarium. Replace that amount by pouring Imagitaruim Pacific Ocean Water directly from the container into your aquarium
  • - Filling Your Entire Aquarium with Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water: Rinse and fill your aquarium with Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water. Once optimum temperature is reached, transfer fish and marine organisms into your aquarium
  • - Helpful Hints: It is recommended that when changing more than 25 percent of aquarium water, pour Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water into your tank through a strainer from a minimum height of 18 inches. This allows the water to aerate, increasing the amount of oxygen in the water. Water temperature is important. The temperature of the aquarium must be the same as the temperature of water from which fish are transferred. During monthly water changes, ensure that Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water temperature is within 4-degrees F of your aquarium. To adjust temperature of Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water, simply place unopened boxes of water in a room that is of similar temperature to your aquarium for several hours prior to use. Additionally, you can carefully remove the bag of water and place it in a bathtub filled with water that is the same temperature as your aquarium

I order two or three of these every couple of weeks. It makes a water change simple. The pH is almost perfect. Every time I’ve purchased.

Petco by mail is TERRIBLE!

OMG- TERRIBLE! The boxes -all four- looked like someone drove over them in a freight truck and then taped back together! Unreal! Falling apart as I picked them up and those are heavy! I still haven't decided if it's worth the risk of them falling apart entirely as I try to add water to my aquarium.....but...I'll never buy from Petco again!

No, I do not recommend this product.

My Fish are Happy

As a 20-year hobbiest, I started maintaining my own saltwater aquarium during the lockdown and for financial reasons. This product is just what I need to do the trick. It's easy to handle and, for water, it comes delivered damage free every time. While most Petco stores don't stock it, it's easier to have it delivered and usually comes the next day and at a reasonable price.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can this be used for brine shrimp?

  1. Hi Pat, Good day! Yes, this can be used for Brine Shrimp. Thanks

What is the shelf life? I have this brand but I forgot I had a couple boxes tucked away :( how long are they good for?

  1. Hi Berryberry, Good day! Technically natural ocean water doesn’t have a shelf life, it doesn’t good bad. Over time water can evaporate which could cause the salinity to go up. However, since we cannot control how the consumer stores the product. We have a “best if used by” of no more than 18 months from date of production. Thanks

Was there any magnesium removed from the water? Or do you know the % magnesium in the water?

  1. Hi Beckett00, Good day! This does contain magnesium. This averages between 1250-1300ppm. This is filtered/sterilized Pacific Ocean water, Thanks

I’ve just set up a 15 gallon nano and I’m wondering do I need to let this water cycle or is it ready for fish after the tank settles and water clears ?

  1. Hi Jonathan8981, Good day! Please see instructions below: Instructions for Use: Monthly Maintenance and Water Changes: Remove 25 percent of the water from your aquarium. Replace that amount by pouring Imagitaruim Pacific Ocean Water directly from the container into your aquarium. Filling Your Entire Aquarium with Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water: Rinse and fill your aquarium with Imagitarium Pacific Ocean Water. Once optimum temperature is reached, transfer fish and marine organisms into your aquarium. Thanks

Is this Brackish Water? can it be used for Moray Eels?

  1. Hi MoTown954, A saltwater moray eel will do fine, but that water is definitely not brackish and would be too high in salinity for a true brackish tank. However, many brackish fish including the moray eels in question can be slowly acclimated to higher salinities. Thanks,

I have moray eels and need brackish water can this product be used instead of mixing my own formula?

  1. If you are desiring less salinity than sea water than you should be able to buy this and add purified water to dilute the salinity. I have purchased this salt water for about 6 years now and it is practically perfect for my coral tank. I do have to add purified water to dilute due to evaporation. Have had no problems with this product.

Is this water good for clownfish? I’ve been wanting to start a clownfish tank but I’m new to saltwater tanks and wanted to know if I can use this as a substitute for mixing my own water?

  1. Yes, I use this water instead of mixing my own in my 3 tanks. I have clown fish in one tank that I've had for over 10 years.

What is the average salinity. The one I purchased came out to 1.020

  1. I generally get 1.024 - 1.026 I also add several chemicals when I change water so this might have a small effect on my results. I generally have to raise or lower it a bid depending upon how much water I replace.

Would this be ok for hermit crabs? I was going to buy a little bottle of 'hermit crab saltwater gulp' but this could would be a lot more saltwater for a lot less over a long time. I rescued a hermit crab today so im desperately trying to learn to help him

  1. Always check salinity of your tank water against either purchased NSW or mixed ASW before adding...too much of a flux can cause havoc with some inverts.

Can this water be stored after been open? Usually don’t change 5 gallons of water at the same time

  1. Hi StefAB, Yes that is fine. Thanks,
