Hi my Dog weighs 60lbs how many mg of Zyrtec can he take? He has allergies
Hi I've got Cetrizine hydrochloride 10mg tablets for my 9.6kg pug for seasonal allergies. I've been told to give a 10mg tablet 3 times a day but it seems that other sources say 20mg is the max amount to be given. What is correct ?!

What is the difference between benadryl, cyproheptadine, and hydroxyzine? They're all antihistamines. My vet just recommended Zyrtec for my 72 lb golden retriever at the dosage of three 10 mg tabs daily for 7 days. That seemed a high dosage but I read an online source that said 1 mg per kg of body weight so that checks out. Why would a 72 lb dog take three times the one 10 mg daily recommended dosage for full grown humans?
