I have been feeding Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight dry food mixed with their Perfect Weight. Chicken Vegetable Stew (1/3 cup dry, 2 Tbs. Wet, 2x/day). I am thinking of switching to the wet food, which he seems to prefer. If i do, how much should I be feeding him (2 small meals per day)?
After cat fight & treated at vet with Covina, rabies, anti inflam shot, my indoor/outdoor cat recovered indoors for 3 weeks. He started going outside again in a limited way. He gained weight. About 2-3 pounds. He is getting a tummy. Pics attached. His diet (per day) is free eating Hills Science dry perfect weight chicken, 2 to 2.5 (3oz cans fancy feast, (about 1/2 can at a time when he requests) & occasionally cooked chicken meat. I am putting my cat on a diet to shed a few pounds (he is around 18lbs right now). I am going to give him "Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight" canned wet food. My question is, how much of the canned wet food should I give him per day? Half a can in the morning and then the other half in the evening? These are 2.9-oz cans. I want to do what's best for him. I hate seeing him overweight and unhappy. Any advice you can offer would be so so great, as finding info online is very hard. Thank you.

I'm a but confused how to calculate my cats ideal calorie intake per day to get him to loose a few pounds . I would like to get him to 19 or 20 pounds and he is now about 22.5 pounds. I used formula 30 (target weight in kg) + 70, but I see there are other formulas? He is 4 years 5 months old and neutered. Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain
I have two cats one is 5 and the other is 3. Our 5 year old is a little chunky he's around 13lbs and our 3 year old is starting to get chunky hes currently 11 lbs. Do we need to feed them two different foods or is there a food that would work for both to get them to a healthy weight?
