Big pieces okay to cut in half? This food is way too big for my 10-11lb chi. But if I give as a treat do you think it will still work if I cut in half? I don’t want to feed her the whole thing and have her choke. Please let me know!
- Hello! You can actually soak the food in warm water for a couple of minutes then drain the water. This will help the dog food to become soft and it will enhance the taste. I have a 20 pound cocker spaniel and this worked for her.

Is there a Science Diet dog food comparable to oral care (same ingredients) but with smaller kibble? Looking for something for my chihuahua/pug who likes this food but has a really hard time with the size. Thank you!
- I have a Chihuahua and Shih Tzu. I use the Oral Care as treats. So they are getting only 2 or 3 at a time. Oral Care is a great help keeping their teeth clean and breath smelling great. We have not had a tooth cleaning since giving the the Oral Care for about four year.

Is there any harm in feeding this to a small dog? The kernels are so big! My Chihuahua eats it, but I just wondered if it could be unhealthy since it is so big.

RE: DOG FOOD My dog is eating Hill's science diet 7+ Active Longevity Small Bites (chicken meal, rice & Barley recipe) for years. But I found out Hill's is recalling their dog foods recently and I am worrying the dog food my dog eating now also have the problems. Should I change other brands OR I cook chicken breast with carrot and broccoli for her instead? or other foods you recommend? She had pancreatitis 2 times and consulted the vet and was told she cannot eat too much oily food.
