We have a pair of male parakeets now 10 days. They seem to adjust just fine, but yesterday we noticed the older one doesn't let younger one eat seeds how much he'd want to. Today I found out half of the poops (from the younger parrot) are green! Not really watery, they look more like porridge-consistency but definitely far from the normal. The younger parrot did try a little bit of green paprika yesterday, but the amount he ate was minimal. What else could be the reason of this discharge??
My green parrot colour is not green it's a different when she get her originality
Why green parrots nose colours changing? It's like so dim color
I just found a young moustached parakeet (or maybe a derbyan parakeet) 2 days ago.How do I know if it is from captivity or from the wild? And it is not afraid when I put my finger near him and does not bite.AND IMPORTANTLY he sleeps a lot and stays on the bottom of the cage...I think it can be because of too much flying and just needs rest.
My lorikeet had unusually blue droppings (teal in colour) yesterday which after a few more turned olive green then normal the next day. He was fed grapes (purple) but they usually only turn his droppings dark in colour, not blueish.
My parakeet is stretching its neck with it's beak open repeatedly for no apparent reason. It's feces have a green discoloration and it also is spending lots of time at the bottom of it's cage
Hello i have a parrot with bald head and chest feathers are fluffy
My budgie is all fluffed up and when he shakes small white balls are falling of him. His poop is also watery and green in color.
Hi Petco! I was hoping you could help me answer this question that I have been unsure about for a while. I have attached 3 photos below with my parakeets. I am unsure about the sex of each bird. I have been told the green one is a female and the blue and yelllow ones are males. I am very unsure because their behavior makes me think differently. Please keep in mind that the green one is over 5 years old and the blue and yellow ones are only over a year. Thank you for your service.
My 8 months female budgie is vomiting undigested seeds and pooping very dark green feces and the urine is also green. The urates are slightly yellow but it may be because I am giving her very little to eat. When she eats seeds she vomits so I don't give her seeds now. I am scared that is it not liver disease?
Hey, I have a rescued female Rose-Ringed Parakeet (Indian Ringneck). Since recently a male parrot has been visiting her daily. I let the two interact but there's a problem. The male has a discolored beak (there also appears to be skin peeling off the beak). It's grey and brown with faint red spots here and there whereas it should be red. I just wanted to find out if it's some sort of infection or if he's malnourished and if I can help him out in anyway. Thanks.
How can I tell if my baby parakeet is a boy or girl (the green one I had for four years but I still want to be sure of her gender)And is the blood feather on the yellow one okay since it is not bleeding and is dried up?
