Perfect for your Double-Coat Fur Baby!

I found a starving puppy over a year ago. Beautiful girl. I *think* she is 1/2 Husky 1/2 Australian Sheppard. My vet agrees. She sheds like a broken cat-tail! This brush does wonders! DEFINITELY use it outside as it grabs those hairs and takes them. Does not hurt the dog as she loves it. But outside...because I could make an entire new dog out of what I brushed out of her. Also...wear clothes you do not mind covered in hair.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A simple tool

Great tool to easily keep my pets shedding under control. The teeth trap the hair that it pulls away and you can release it by pushing down the tab. I have only been using it for a few weeks so my only concern is, does it break easily after so many uses? And on sale it's a little bit overpriced in my opinion.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I've always taken my dog to the groomer, but now I can do it myself. The furminator is sooo easy to use and really gets all the loose fluff out. For the price of one professional groom, I have a tool that does as good, if not a better job.

I bought the Furminator deshedding tool today from a pet supply store near me and wish I'd bought it two months ago when we adopted our dog. He's a shelter dog--possibly some sort of Border Collie, shepherd, Husky, something else mix--and he can shed a lot, particularly as the season is changing from spring to summer or if he's stressed. His coat is medium length, with an undercoat. The medium long hair tool worked great. It was more effective by far than any other brushes I've tried and it was easier on my dog's skin. I had a bale of hair at the end. (Tried to upload a photo but it wouldn't save)

I have 3 other brushes people recommended or even bought for me. None of them helped with my brittany’s shedding. I took one last chance on this and wow! It really works. I saw someone’s review had a video of it catching those loose hairs. That was exactly my experience too. The brush had a caught a ton of hair in just a few strokes, unlike others that just came up clean. So nice to have a solution to help cut down on the shedding issue in the. House.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a Keeshound. Can this be used on such long hair?

  1. I’m not sure about that breed but I’ve found that first the hair should be brushed then use the furminator.  I feel that if the hair can be brushed you should be able to use the furminator on it.  I’ve used it on a chow/lab mix, American Eskimo and a Shiba Inu with success.

I have an albino long hair paphuahua which sheds like crazy. I am unsure about using the product because of its albinism/sensitive skin. However, I really need something to stop the shedding. Would you recommend this product?

  1. You can certainly try it and rest at ease knowing that it comes with a 90-day satisfaction guarantee. For more help contact FURminator at PetSupport@spectrumbrands.com.

Is this tool safe for a cocker spaniel?

  1. Yes, this is a great tool for a cocker spaniel. So that we can answer your other FURminator questions please contact us at PetSupport@spectrumbrands.com.

I have a very senior short haired Miniature Foxie that is no longer shedding her hair. Will this work best? A brush wire or smooth does getting anything out and I don't want to shave her.

  1. The Furminator is for DOGS THAT SHED, so if your dog is NOT shedding, Your question is NOT being understood. It is WONDERFUL for both long and short haired dogs that are shedding. Just use it GENTLY because you don't want it to scratch a short haired dog. Don't know what else to tell you because your question is NOT a clear question.

Is this good for a golden retriever puppy?

  1. I would personally recommend this for ANY Long Haired dog that sheds alot. Whether it's a puppy or not. This tool is AMAZING!!!!
