When used monthly, FRONTLINE® Plus for Dogs completely breaks the flea life cycle and controls tick and chewing lice infestations. Do not reapply FRONTLINE® Plus for Dogs for 30 days. You are likely seeing NEW fleas on your pet, which are jumping on your pet as it moves through infested areas in and around your home. Depending on the severity of the existing infestation, you may continue to see new fleas jumping on your pet for three months or more. Please call 888-637-4251 for further information. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/frontline.png" alt="frontline" title="frontline" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

I put it on my 10 pound pomeranian, and she had fleas. The next day I didn't bathe her for another 3 days but didn't put any more on her. So I don't think it worked not happy.

It’s safe to use with my dog if I have kids at home that pet him all the time?

  1. Yes, just have them wash their hands if they touch the area. If kids are little, show them where to better pet the dog and tell them he has his flea medicine “right there”.

I have a 7 year old Chihuahua that barely makes 5lbs. Is Frontline Plus ok for my dog.

  1. I think so but what I would do is just leave a little in the ampule, so he doesn’t get a dose big enough for a 15-20 lb dog

Is this also for prevention of fleas and ticks or is this soley treatment if a pet already has fleas?

  1. Frontline Plus is a prevention treatment. It will also treat a pet with a current flea/tick issue but it will not cure it. When I adopted my pup (with fleas), she started Frontline and had a special shampoo that we used once a week. If your pup has fleas/ticks, talk to your vet about the best way to treat. Frontline products should be used year-round to prevent future flea/tick problems.

if dog has ticks will it kill them or is it to prevent ticks?

  1. The packaging says it will kill them.  I think you need the preventative after treating the dog, for long term use.

What is the dose for a 150 pound dog? 2 large dog doses?

  1. You can call Merial - they make Frontline - at 1-800-660-1842, Mon-Fri 8am to 7pm eastern time. Or ask your Vet.

Can Frontline cause seizures?

Which product also works against mosquitos?

    1. I’ve used frontline and also brave to. Both work!

How many doses is this. One picture shows 3 another from the back shows 6. I cannot find this information anywhere in the description.

    1. They come in three dose and six dose packages.

I used a cheaper brand on the cats. I bought this for the dog and have given the first treatment about 8 days ago. The fleas are still running all over her. adults and babies. i will treat the cats again and the dog again together in a month. help??

    1. I was using Frontline on my dog until I saw that it was not being effective on fleas when he would get them. My vet suggested I change to Simparica. It was the difference between night and day. What a difference; totally worth it even if it costs more.

Is this a treatment or preventive ? Are they the same ?

    1. It’s a preventative.
