Fill your clean litter box with 2-3 inches of Fresh Step litter. Additional Fresh Step litter is recommended if the litter box is used by more than one cat. This is a No Clump, Just Dump litter. Empty the entire litter box as needed, usually about once a week. Dispose of used litter in trash. Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in the trash. Sprinkle additional Fresh Step litter in the litter box each time you remove solid waste to help keep the litter box fresh. Do not flush down the toilet or drain.
As a reminder, especially to pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your doctor. Unused cat litter poses no toxoplasmosis threat. Why does my cat eat clumping clay litter?
Hey, I just recently got a cat and was wondering if there is any safe air freshener, etc. to put in the same room as the litter box that will not cause any harm to my cat.
I have a cat who seems to be refusing to use the litter boxes. He is older(over 14). I clean the boxes every other day. We have tried attractants, putting a car mat down, cleaning the boxes themselves, using odor/pheromone 'destroyers', and yet he still peed on the mat. I use the Arm & Hammer clump and seal for litter. What more can I do? Should I remove a couple of the doors on the covered boxes? Should I clean the boxes daily? What can I do?
