How do you keep your aquarium looking fresh and clean without constantly doing water changes? Say hello to Fluval Bio Stratum Aquarium! This amazing product is infused with beneficial 'bioactive' bacteria that breaks down waste and kickstarts the nitrogen cycle. With just one use, it rapidly reduces ammonia levels and helps stabilize water conditions in new aquariums. Plus, it keeps established aquariums healthy too!Bio-Stratum isn't just an additional source of filtration, it's also a substrate that promotes bacterial colonization for enhanced water quality. Its smaller powder format granules are porous and non-compacting, making them ideal for use in smaller freshwater aquariums or as a top layer in larger tanks. What's more, its unique curing and heat treatment process ensures that no parasites are present, so you can rest easy knowing that your fish are safe.

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina
Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt
first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!
My pond goldfish had swim bladder issues so has been inside for 6 weeks. He was pretty active and I brought in another to keep him company. Since Feb 1st, he is at the bottom, eating a bit especially when I drop it right in from of him. No external signs of any disease that I can seen. Nitrites are high as tank is cycling. I am adding Prime, aquarium salt (1 gram) and 30% water changes. Nitrite converting bacteria is establishing now. Any thought on what it could be and what to do? Thank you
Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?

I’m trying to cycle a 10 gal fish tank. I have been adding your biological booster for a month now and nothing is happening. The ammonia is holding steady at .5 ppm and I’m not seeing any nitrites. Is there a way I can test to see if there are actually live bacteria in the booster. I’ve checked everything else I can think of.
Can Betta fish tank have sand from river?
