We live about an hour away from our closest pet store...is the an ok back up food if we are not able to get pinhead crickets? Especially with the covid 19 at the moment

Would this be an ideal treat for my adult hedgehog?

    1. This is not at all a good treat for your hedgie. Dragons require a completely different balance of food and vitamins than your animal and you could likely end up causing your pet some real damage even feeding them a little of this.

Should i feed this to my baby bearded dragon rather than live crickets?

    1. No. Baby dragons need a lot of protein to keep growing. I wouldn't start feeding this, and in very small portions, until they are at least 7 months old. Live bugs should be a staple of their diets throughout their lives.

do you only feed this to your dragon. if not what else do you add

    1. I leave a bowl of this in their cage at all times, along with a dish of collards or kale greens. Lettuce, carrots and fruits are not big on nutrition. Last summer when I was breeding them I found the babies prefer live insects, but I also offered finely chopped greens and their bowl of pellets. They so looked forward to my coming home and giving them baby dubias, baby crickets and baby superworms! Look into a product called 'green bags', I think by Debbie Meyer I've actually kept bananas in them for two weeks!

The product was fine for the most part but my Antres didn't touch it. Like most juvies he won't eat the bugs unless they are moving. It was convenient with a nice mix. I tried to moisten the bugs but that didn't make it more desirable to him. If your pet is willing to eat the bugs like that then this is a good buy for them.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
