Can I use Farnham blue dressing wound dressing and antiseptic on my chickens wound?
Pet had skin die off, back rt foot (after severe abscess in back rt hip threatened amputate) Vet removed dead, new skin growth underneath. This left atleast 50% of exposed flesh, the other has new skin growth. Antibiocs & cleaning w/chlorhexidine 2xs a day.(metacam 1x day for 2 day.)With cleaning and limited mobility still seems impossible to keep clean, constantly finding dirt/debris, misc stuck to raw skin. Is there a safe way to cover wound while also letting it breathe for healing purposes?
What kind of oral and external medicine should I use for cuts and wounds in guinea pig.
My horse got some hoary allysium in her hay and it caused her to have severe stocking up in her legs to the point I was worried she would founder. We live rurally and it can be hard to get a vet here. If this happens again i am wondering what can I give her to help her- would bute work? I also would like advice for preventing this from happening again...? I am not in a position to get rid of all my hay that we are saving for winter! Thanks for your time :)
Can I use this on Fred's paw?
my cat got spayed on saturday. today is wed. she's licking her wound and also licked a powder that vet prescibed to put on wound. is it ok? ths is the powder.
So I found my horse like this this morning. I checked the fence and I can't figure out what happened. I'm not sure how to care for his wound since it looks so bad, but he's walking fine. It looks like his blood kept bunching up and drying in the cold, so I don't know if I should even try to clean it or if it's best to leave it. What can I do to help him? Thanks!
My older basset has a large lump on her neck that often bleeds. We found that using A&D ointment reduced the bleeding a bit bc it’s not cracking as often but now it smells and I can’t clean the gunk off without it hurting her. Is there a powder or ointment I can try? She’s currently taking clindamyacin for it
My 14yo cairn terrier stepped in some borax dust (outside for ants) on Monday afternoon. I have washed thoroughly and he didnt ingest. Left paw is healed and ok. Right front paw still has a small red/raw spot and is painful for him. I have used antibacterial ointment and kept wrapped, giving 1/2 benadryl, and this weekend will use a cone. What else can i do to ease discomfort and promote healing? Thank you!!!
I was hired to clean steals at the stable I board two horses. Today I got to this particular horse stall and found this wound on his belly. It has been this way all through the summer from what the stable owner said today, it is full of debris pus and flies. This condition is unacceptable to me so I would like to know how to clean it up and get it healed
Hi, My pet has injured her leg in the cage. It’s not actively bleeding but there is an open wound. Could I use an antiseptic dust on the wound to prevent infection?
My dog's nail from his back left foot started bleeding 3 days ago. My husband took him to the vet immediately and it looks like they clipped his nail but i just noticed today that his wick is about a quarter inch exposed. It appears to be drying out. They didn't recommend any pain reliever nor antibiotic. I have just been cleaning with warm water. The vet did say to put cornstarch on it to help it heal. I want to know whats going to happen to him
