Sand impactions can occur when a horse ingests sand or soil particles accidentally or intentionally. The excess sand may congregate in the horse's intestinal tract and can obstruct your horse's colon. This condition-called sand colic-can be excruciating and dangerous for your horse. The incidence of sand colic is often limited to horses in sandy areas or regions, but horses can have bouts of sand colic regardless of where they live and even if they're grazing on pastures. Sand and dirt hide in unexpected places like hay bales, grass pastures, and your horse. Help protect your horse from sand colic with SandClear Natural Psyllium Crumbles. Sand Clear for horses contains a premium psyllium seed husk to support the removal of sand and dirt from the ventral colon. Ideal for horses that graze or eat off the ground, this supplementary dietary fiber is recommended by a veterinarian to help maintain a healthy digestive tract for horses of all ages, including foals.

Hi, I have an old dog that has been diagnosed with IBS of the large intestine. I have found that psyllium husks mixed with his kibble and warm water helps to firm up his stool. He weighs approx. 100 lbs and I'm wondering what the dosage should be for him. I've been giving him 1 tablespoon twice a day. Thanks for any information you can supply.
Is psylium husks recomended for a dog who is vomitting and has diarhea thank you
My dog has what appears to be comstioation. He has a painful gut, he is stretching, panting & trying to poop the last few hours. This is not the first time; he is on a restricted diet but got a chew (natural) & we think it's not passing good for him. Should i give him psyllium husk? He is not eating now, just drinking water. The vet has given him carafate & metoclopramide before & it's worked in past. But I gave him the only dose we had left 8 hours ago.
My vet said to give my cat Metamucil; can I give him regular wheat dextrin? Just a generic fiber supplement in powder form?
My horses manure is charge in size and has trouble passing it. Sometimes I have to go in and scoop it out.
He hasn't had fully formed stools since he was 7 mo. He stool is often loose or patty like. I've tried lower fat foods and different proteins, giving all foods 3 months before change. Tried psyllium husk, pumpkin, glandex, and firm up and just feeding less and nothing works. Now he cannot empty is anal glands properly because of his loose stool. No parasites either. What should I try to help firm up his stool? Any specific dogs foods to try? Supplements?
Can i give my 7 year old pom the equite (walmart) brand of milk of magnesia for her constipation?
How much Fenbendazole would you give to a box turtle that weighs about to or less than 3 lbs? Where can you get it and what should I buy
My local vet recommends fiber for my cat. I have ground flax seed and wondered if that's a good fiber source
My dog jas constipation and today pooed dust
Vet prescribed restoralax (PG3350) to treat on going constipation issues, but didn’t say how long she should stay on it. Is is safe for long term useage? Aprox 1/4 tsp x2 mixed in watered down wet food. It’s helping so if it causes no harm I’m hoping she can stay on it long term.
Pooch is constipated, what can we give him?
