i use this for my red earred slider. it only lasts about 3-4 months before it burns out. kind of pricey to replace multiple times a year, but what are you going to do. last purchased in march, just had to buy a new one.

Can this stop producing heat without the light burning out? Our turtle hasnt been basking and we're wondering if the light is not producing heat, even though there is still light coming from the bulb. Might be a dumb question...
