we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.
My female poodle Chihuahua is 11 yrs old and about 11 pounds. She was diagnosed with luxating patellas when she was 3. Our bedroom is upstairs and the staircase is steeper than average and she sleeps with us. She frequently yelps or limps after using the stairs. How can I make it easier for her to get up and down the stairs? I don't want to leave her alone downstairs all night. She's too old.
Parameters for being outside for a 7/8 yt? old rescue beagle.. She prefers to be out. Had an igloo dog house.
My very large male cat has trouble getting intout his litter pan.. Do you know where I can get a large, very large pan?
I am getting my rottweiller spayed tomorrow. I live in a flat so need to go upstairs from front door. Will she be ok to walk upstairs after op? She is 48 kilos so I am unable to carry her
Our puppy is 11 mnths and is trained to ring a bell and go outside to do her business. She will be staying with my Mom when we are on vacation, and she lives in a 2nd floor apartment. My question is, would it be okay to put the bell on the door to the balcony, then put a “grass” pee pad out there for her to use? We leave in 2 days.
We're considering a dog for adoption; likely basset-beagle mix (foster maybe some terrier). We have three staircases in our 4-floor townhouse. Concerned that stairs would be bad for his back if he shares that problem with Basset hounds. Do you think he will have issues based on these measurements, and the photo attached? 15" Neck; 15" Front paw/leg to shoulder area; 15" Rear paw/leg to shoulder area; 27" Chest circumference; 23 1/2" Base of neck to base of tail.
My dog is old now and has hip issues that require we help her up. I'm looking into harnesses to make both our lives easier but am not sure which style would be more comfortable and less damaging. I can only get a few styles in my country (attaching pics) and they all look painful to me. Which of these would be best? Or would any or none be a good choice? Would one wrapping around her legs be better than one wrapping around her belly? Thanks!
We live in a tent on streets and are dog that is about 9 is having bad hip joint pain and i want to make her more comfortable but its hard for the obviously reason !!please i need too figure this out!!!! this dog is the rock to the little family and it scares !!!the hell out of me !!!! Is there anything i can do for my dog who seems to have hurt her paw. She is older (13) and is favoring that paw a lot. She is having trouble getting up and down the steps to go use the bathroom outside. She has to use steps any way she goes to go outside.
