In response to previous review titled: Broken Hinge Piece The gate worked fairly well once it was "dialed-in" and the locking nuts were tightened. Unfortunately, due to regular house hold use, the upper grey plastic hinge piece that mounts to the wall has cracked and a piece fell off. I had to file it flat as a temporary solution. Are Replacement/Maintenance Hinge parts available? Petco contacted me for address information and the vendor sent new plastic hinges free of charge which I've already mounted. All good now and very happy with the support from Petco and the vendor.

Lightweight wood and plastic won't last long. The "latching" mechanism relies on lifting the end of the gate slightly to unlatch it. I think the idea is that you're lifting it on the hinge but really, you're just flexing it on the sloppy tolerances. Not easy to close because the length of the thing changes every time you open it: the two halves just slide around, with no way provided to lock the width. So sad I wasted my money on this balsa wood garbage.
