- Thank you for your inquiry. This toy is safe for parakeets and the bitty bagels (cardboard rings) are 1" across in diameter.

Does using softened water with this rodi unit make the filters last longer?
- Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, a Water Softener will in fact extend the life of the RO membrane. An RO membrane usually at least 1 year, using softened water on the feed could extend the life of the membrane 50% or more (this all depends on the initial water quality) It will still be important to change out your sediment and carbon regularly, as they will not see any benefit from the water softener.

Does the 300GPD just have more RO membranes?
- You can always change the membrane to a larger production, but you will also need to change the flow restrictor. You can also add a piggy back unit that will double the production rate.

filter replacement
- The rubber gasket seal is keeping it from moving. YouTube will have some instructions on how to remove, but just use some pliers to pull it out. However it may damage the membrane so don't do that unless you are definitely going to replace the membrane. The membrane can last a long time and may not need replacing as often as the other filters.

Does the AquaFX Barracuda RO/DI Unit need to be mounted?
- I have mine free standing. The unit comes solid foam packed and you may want to save the bottom portion and use it since it will help it be stable if it is free standing so that it does not tip over.

If the warrantee requires soft water input, and if I have hard tap water, then what can I put between my water supply and this RO?
- The warranty does not require soft water. That reviewer was wrong. As others have stated, it does help the membrane last longer, but most of us are not fortunate enough to have soft water.

What are the dimensions of the 100GPD Unit?
- The dimensions are the same for the 50 and the 100. The only difference is the membrane used. They both use the same housing. It is approximately 16.25" long x 7" deep x 15.25" high. But some additional space for the tubing to go in and out is needed on the sides. An elbow can also be used as a replacement on the sides if space is really tight so that the tubing can go in and out at an angle.

How do I choose from a 50 gpd and a 100 gpd unit?
- It will take 5 to 6 hours to make 10 gallons (depending on your water pressure), so it can be done in one sitting if you use two five gallon bottles/buckets and turn it on once a week.

Does it come with the TDS meter?
- No. It comes with the pressure gauge shown, but not an inline TDS meters. Those are inexpensive and very easy to install.

Text says to hook up RO/DI unit to a "soft water" system. Does this mean it can't be used in a "hard water" system?
- Soft water is not required. That is a benefit of an RO system ... it converts hard water to soft. Soft water will make the membrane last longer, but it is not an actual requirement by AquaFX or for RO in general.

I need to add cotton to the pillow mat for my dog bed because it’s going flat, can I use any kind of cotton or should I be careful picking one out? She doesn’t chew her beds at all, it’s just going flat. Where can I get cotton for her bed?
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.

we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?
my 17 yr. old 5 # Pomeranian (neutered male) has to wear a male wrap, due to frequent wetting in the house... but can wriggle out of it...I found the Vet's Best Perfect Fit ...which sounds like it would work well, but I need a liner that is really absorbent to put in it... What would you suggest? (that's affordable)?
