Hey guys, I’m slowly transitioning my dogs over to adult food but they are still getting their puppy food. Mia always has some kind of allergy so I was looking into getting BLUE Basics® Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe For Adult Dogs but it doesn’t have any chicken or poultry by-product meals, corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs. Is that even healthy missing all of those food groups? Right now my dogs are on Blue buffalo freedom grain free.

But I see that there are 4 different blue buffalo foods.”Basics”, “Freedom”, “Life Protection”, and “Wilderness”. Bought purina one lamb and rice. Concerned on an ingredient. Chicken by product meal? Was taught bad for dogs and can be diesed animals. Mixing with 80 to 20 ratio of food the 80 percent is pure Balance trout and lentils grain free. But some of you say grains are good and they don’t have an allegry as they eat grained dog treats and Cheerios with no problems. Plus this food had real meat chucks and wanted to train them to eat dry food only. Thanks!
What is the best food to feed a 55-pound highly active hound? I was told to switch to grain free, but her stool has been mucous like and runny. I've tried Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient (I've tried chicken, beef, sweet potato) and American Journey Limited ingredient (lamb). Just looking to find the best dog food for a very active hound that won't break the bank. Also, I'm concerned with all this news of heart problems linked with specific foods.
