What is the total weight in the box? My apartment complex has a max shipping weight.

  1. 50#

May I find the dimensions as I need at least one landing to be equal to the pet door which is window height? Approx 34-36" tall from floor. Thanks you

  1. The first landing is about 24-25" off the ground and the second is about 42-43" off the ground. I hope this helps.

Does this cat tree and any of the other Amarkat trees have any odor?

What are the dimensions of this cat tree? I see that it's 73" tall, but what is the length and width? Thanks.

    1. Approximately 19.5" by 23.5"

Are the cat beds on the cat tree large enough to hold large breed cats? I have 3 Ragamuffins  that weigh over 16lbs. Is the cat tree sturdy enough to handle 16lb. cats?

    1. I’m not quite sure yet but will be finding out pretty quickly. We have a male Ragdoll kitty that will be turning 6 months old in two days and he is already 9 1/2 pounds. So far he fits just fine, but he purposely likes to hang his head and or feet off of it on purpose, it’s just his nature. I think if your cats like to curl up rather than stretch out they will be fine. I can say we are very happy with this cat tree, it is much sturdier than our old one, has a nice broad base for stability and our cat loves the sisal on the scratching posts.

Is there any way to purchase more of the cat toys that come with this tree? My cat LOVES them!

    1. We went to our local PETCO and got cat toys off the shelf and then tied them to the loops on the cat tree. Most of the toys have a string on them making tieing them on very easy. Our cats especially love the catnip mice. I'm unsure if Armarkat sells replacements or not.

Great but could be more stable

Great but could be more stable. It moves and wobbles a little when our cat rushes to the top. We’ve tied one of the post to a point on the wall which would prevent it from completely tipping over.

My cat loves it, I love it, and It fits the space perfectly. My 9.5lb cat fits perfectly on all the platforms and in the cubby where she feels nice a snug without being too cramped. She loves to play with all the hanging bits and she's happy to be relegated to the tree if she can't sit on my lap. It's sturdy, and fairly simple to build, although it is a little heavy if you have to carry it upstairs.

Easy to put together. Love that the posts are entirely sisle rope. Place in front of south facing window so my two cats are in heaven. Seems very sturdy. Will watch to see if I need to anchor if broth cats jump off at same time in same direction just to be safe. Would definitely recommend. Bought through petco on-line.

Built to last the craftsmanship is excellent. That baby is going to last like our last one which is going on 14 years. Don’t be fooled by look-a-likes.

Nice tree, but top platforms are very small

I like the height of this tree, as my girl loves to be up high when she naps. It's also compact and fits in a corner. My only complaint is that the platforms at the top are much smaller than the angled ones on her previous Armakat tree. She just barely can make herself fit in them, and can only fit while in loaf or cinnamon roll positions. Can't flop around or uncurl at all. I will likely replace the platforms with new ones that are more appropriately sized for a medium cat. Wish they had used the same platforms as on the other tree.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Be warned!

This is honestly good cat tree especially for the price! it’s large and impressively tall and has held up so far. I have two cats and they would live the rest of their lives on it if they could. BUT BE AWARE: there is small elastic loops to hold the hanging toy accessories on and at this point I have had to cut them off. They have had their paws completely tangled in the elastic loop, which made them panic, and there’s no way they could’ve got out of it unharmed if I wasn’t there, and that terrifies me. They also had their claw somehow lodged into the metal hook holding the swing. I have taken off the hanging toys and the swing. I wouldn’t have worried too much if it was a single isolated incident but I’ve now had three separate occasions of a lodged kitty paw and so I want to warn others, especially if you have smaller or younger cats.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
